MOSCOW. March 28 (Interfax-Moscow) - A drunken 58-year-old Muscovite threatened to blow up the U.S. embassy on Thursday, a source with the Moscow police told Interfax on Friday.

A telephone threat to bomb the embassy was received by the police at 6:30 p.m. The call was traced to an apartment in the southwestern outskirts of the city. A rapid reaction squad was sent to the location, and detained a man who admitted to having called in a false threat. The man was in a condition of heavy intoxication.
